An Atlanta-area company has acquired MVP Granite Countertops, a Charleston company that provides surfaces and countertop fabrication and installation services for professional builders, interior designers and remodelers.
Construction Resources Co. LLC of Decatur, Ga., made the announcement this week in a news release.
Jamey Nelson, president of MVP Granite Countertops, and his leadership team will remain with Construction Resources following the acquisition, according to the news release.
“We are thrilled to welcome MVP Granite Countertops to the Construction Resources family,” Construction Resources CEO Mitch Hires said in the release. “As we aim to grow our broader Construction Resources business in Charleston, this acquisition unlocks greater services for our shared customers through MVP’s trusted slab fabrication and install services. We will continue to invest in the team’s growth and proven success with their customers.”

Construction Resources has operations in 11 states. The company has 15 sites in Georgia alone, including manufacturing sites, distributions centers, warehouses and showrooms. Its South Carolina operations include CR Glass & Mirror in Summerville and Ridgeland. The company also has distribution centers in Lexington and Greer and UMI Stone showroom in Greer.

Construction Resources, acquired by The Home Depot in December 2023, is a distributor of design-oriented surfaces, appliances and specialty products.
