An international architecture firm based in New York has acquired a Columbia-area female-led architecture firm.
Rochester, N.Y.-headquartered LaBella Associates DPC, an architecture, engineering, environmental and planning firm, has acquired Compass 5 Partners LLC, according to a news release. Based in Rock Hill, the Compass 5 team provides architectural and design services for institutional clients in health care and higher education, the release stated.
Founded in 2006 by Maryellyn Cannizzaro, Compass 5 Partners focuses on the planning, design and project management of technically challenging projects, according to the release. With more than 20 years of operational management experience, Cannizzaro will continue to lead the Columbia-area team with a commitment to quality outcomes for client-driven projects.
“I’m proud that a firm of LaBella’s caliber has recognized Compass 5, a women-owned business, as a strategic partner in its growth,” said Cannizzaro in the release. “LaBella’s investment in our firm is an acknowledgement of our statewide reputation for excellence.”
