Irmo, SC —  Last week, Pyramid Contracting appeared on WLTX to announce its participation in Safe and Sound Week by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. “Safe + Sound Week” is a nationwide event held each August that recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs and offers information and ideas on how to keep America’s workers safe. In addition to workplace and jobsite elevated focus on safety, Pyramid Contracting’s Safety Director, Mike Moss, hosted a company-wide meeting on the importance of Heat Illness Prevention.

“Basically because of the heat index we’ve had here in the past several months, we just want our guys out in the field to recognize and know what to do in the event that someone is overcome with heat illness,” Mike Moss told WLTX. “There is no task so important that you should risk your safety to complete it. At Pyramid Contracting, we are all teammates working toward a common goal – to be accountable to one another to remain safe and sound.” Mike told the staff during the meeting.
