(D|F), an engineering, planning, and landscape architecture firm, announces an exciting leadership enhancement as it continues to provide exceptional client service and grow its brand across South Carolina. Stephen Davis has decoupled his dual role as president and CEO to continue with a more strategic focus as CEO.
Joshua (Josh) Fowler, PE, has joined D|F as its new president. He is based in the firm’s Greenville, SC, office.
According to Davis, “D|F is thrilled to announce the addition of Josh Fowler, PE, to our Executive Leadership team as president. He brings diverse experience and knowledge of business operations and engineering, contributing a global reach and local focus to lead enhanced D|F growth efforts in a strategic direction. Complementing my role as CEO, he comes to us tasked with the goal of continuing to build our high-performing team grounded in our long-standing family culture.”
Fowler received his BS in civil engineering from Georgia Tech and MBA from Clemson. He is a professional engineer in SC, NC, and GA. Throughout his career, he has served in various leadership roles mostly in professional services, plus six years in manufacturing sales & marketing. Most of his consulting work has been in water/wastewater with some experience in industrial and economic development as well as industrial compliance. He joins D|F from HDR, where he worked as South Carolina Water Program Lead.
His community involvement includes Rotary International (Downtown Greenville club), where he is a past board member and currently serves on the Annual Fundraiser and IT Committees. He is a former president of South Carolina Society of Professional Engineers (SCSPE) Educational Foundation and former SCSPE board member. He served on the American Council of Engineering Companies of South Carolina (ACEC-SC) Environmental Committee. He has participated in several chambers of commerce (currently on the Greenville Chamber Board of Advisors) and economic development organizations, including South Carolina Economic Developers Association (SCEDA). He is a member of American Water Works Association (AWWA) and Water Environment Federation (WEF).
